Vilnius ISFF presents special programme at Short Waves Festival

Vilnius International Short Film Festival presents a special short film programme “Longing for Love” at the Short Waves Festival 2022 next week. The programme showcases four short films portraying love that requires patience, sacrifice, faith in the happy ending, or just better imagination on our part sometimes. The screening will take place during the Random Garden Cinema series, on 15 June, in Poznan, Poland.

Short Waves Festival is one of the most significant Polish festivals presenting exclusively short films. It’s a constellation of cinematic events scattered around Poznan’s urban landscape. Competition screenings are its core – sets of short films encompassing five categories: International Competition, Polish Competition, Dances with Camera, Urban View and Polish Experimental Short Film Competition. The festival reaches beyond the screening room: open-air, clubs, art galleries, theatres and Poznanians’ private gardens known as the Random Garden Cinema series.

They say that the people who tend to get upset easily, are lacking love. Yet the lack of love, in one form or another, is what we’re experiencing all the time. “Longing for Love” programme will invite to a cinematic journey through the different types of love to a relative, a best friend, food and even a wild she-wolf. The programme will be presented by Gabrielė Cegialytė, producer of Vilnius International Short Film Festival. A special screening will take place on 15 June, 9 pm at the Random Garden Cinema (the location will be revealed only just before the event). Tickets: here.

14th Short Waves Festival will take place on 14-19 June in Poznan, and online on 14-20 June. More information: HERE
