Filmmaker Laurynas Bareiša made the headlines in 2021 when his debut feature Pilgrims won the Orizzonti competition at the Venice Film Festival. Short film buffs, however, have been following him since 2014 and today we present a selection of five films that reveal the evolution of Bareiša’s directorial style as well as the conflicts encoded in the daily life, where something always is left in between the lines.
