Social Media Strategies For Cultural & Audiovisual Projects with Giulio Vita

A workshop designed to build a better understanding of how we use communication tools to deliver our messages and engage with our community. Giulio Vita will talk about identity, digital and non- digital strategies for audience development and outreach. A non-formal education workshop set during the first 3 hours of the event, is concluded with a general presentation participated and enriched by engaging inquiries. This workshop will be run by Giulio Vita, a communication expert, journalist and the artistic director of La Guarimba International Film Festival (Italy).

GIULIO VITA (1988) is the director of La Guarimba Cultural organization located in Southern Italy. He runs La Guarimba International Film Festival and the Film Residency CinemAmbulante. He grew up in Venezuela. He studied Journalism in Caracas and Cinema in Madrid. He deals with Communication and Cultural Management in all phases: from the conception to the implementation of projects that have a positive social impact. Expert in turning good ideas into excellent realities. In 2014, he has been nominated Digital Champion by the Italian government.

Reflections on Contemporary European Short Film Industry: challenges and perspectives

This open discussion aims to identify the main challenges and opportunities for talents in today & European short film industry. How to reach the audience while you are producing short films, what are the successful business models, how the experienced producers find the emerging talents, is there any space in the future short film industry for genre films.

CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT: EUROPE

“Creative Spotlight: Europe” is a special short film programme presenting the new works by emerging European talents. The films go beyond physical borders of Europe, offer fresh and new perspectives, examine complicated relationships and give a voice to a new generation of filmmakers. The films are the result of cooperation between experienced European producers and new talents, and have been supported by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme of the European Union. The programme is presented by Creative Europe Desk Lithuania.
