On 11 September 1973, the democratic government of President Salvador Allende was overthrown by a violent military coup. 50 years later, Santiago’s national football stadium is brought to life to tell the story of the terrible events it silently witnessed in the aftermath of this pivotal moment in the country’s history.
About the director:
Born in Paris and raised in Milan, Giulio Pacini lives and works in Rome. He graduated in Modern Literature from Università Sapienza and holds a diploma in Screenwriting from the National School of Cinema – Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. “La selección de Chile” is his first short film as a director.
