About the director:
Vesta Tučkutė is a Lithuanian-American producer and director whose path into this industry began without a formal film education, guided instead by curiosity and serendipity. Over the past eight years, she has produced features, shorts, and commercials across the U.S., Mexico, Japan, the Balkans, and her native Baltics. Inspired by observing people and spontaneous conversations with strangers, Vesta is drawn to stories that feel both universally relatable and accessible.
In 2024, she directed her debut short film Loving, which will world premiere at the Vilnius Short Film Festival. She is currently developing her second short, Mama, slated for production in New York in spring 2026.
