The Romanian care-worker, Marina tells of her daily life employed 24/7 in a German private home: of the conflict of carrying out vital emotional work whilst having to live far away from her own family. Performing invisible work in isolation in the house of an old man, Marina becomes a personification of ‘East European cheap labour’.

Julia Roesler (born 1978 in Germany) studied “Cultural Studies and Aesthetic praxis” at the Universität Hildesheim, Freiburg and Argentina. Since her diploma, she has worked as freelance theatre director and theatre educator. Regulary visiting lecturer i.a. at HBK Brunswick. She is co-founder of the independent theatre company WERKGRUPPE2, working in the company management and directs all of their productions.
