Virtual “Lithuanian Shorts 2021-2022” catalogue released
Traditionally, in preparation for the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market, Lithuanian Short Film Agency “Lithuanian Shorts” presents a wide selection of the newest Lithuanian short films. This year, the latest catalogue “Lithuanian Shorts 2021-2022” is a virtual database with 20 most recent works of Lithuanian filmmakers.
The selection of Lithuanian Shorts catalogue once again proved that short films are gaining popularity not only among the viewers, but also among filmmakers. The catalogue is one of the best ways to promote recent Lithuanian short films across the globe. This year, the virtual catalogue-film database consists of 13 fiction, 5 animation and 2 documentary short films.
Lithuanian short films proved to berelevant not only to to national, but also to international audiences, as Lithuanian filmmakers bring a light to important topicswidely discussed in society: LGBTQ+, mental health, domestic violence, gender stereotypes, sexual abuse, and drug addiction. Selected short films explore complex relationships, self discovery and search of one’s identity.
Since 2012 LITHUANIAN SHORTS agency publishes a yearly catalogue with the newest Lithuanian short films. The selectionis prepared for more active promotion of Lithuanian films abroad, andit is addressed to film industry professionals – international film festival programmers, distributors, sales agents, who are interested in films from Lithuania.
