A faceless street in the outskirts of a German city, named after a Turkish child. Little by little, the street is being charged with its past, which is linked to one of the most tragic episodes in the history of reunified Germany. Are public memorials collective remembrance or collective repression?
About the director:
Güzin Kar is an award winning Swiss screenwriter and film director and a graduate of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. She also writes books, columns and stage plays and is a member of the Swiss Film Academy. Güzin Kar lives in Zurich.
