Noa is a confident seven year old. On a seemingly endless day of summer Noa is raving in the garden with friends in swim shorts. The play comes to an abrupt end. As Noa gets gifted a swimsuit, Noas perspective on the world changes irreversibly. But Noa’s best friend does not escape this grief.
About the director:
Amina Krami was born in Salzburg in 1992 to an Algerian father and an Austrian mother. Since 2020, she has been studying stage directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and, in 2022, was awarded a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Foundation to attend the film school “La FEMIS” in Paris. In 2024, “Cryptid” received the “Best Comedy Award” at the Austrian Independent Film Festival.
In 2025, Amina Krami is a recipient of the Deutschlandstipendium; her short film Prince de la ville is nominated for the CIVIS Media Prize, and Der Badeanzug wins both the Grand Prize and the Audience Award at the Vienna Short Film Festival.
