Acclaimed Lithuanian documentary filmmaker Henrikas Šablevičius dives into the memory of lost time and space. In this film, he focuses on the villagers’ gathering at the destroyed village, where they meet first day of July every year. They give their respect to the buried ones, remember their family members and beautiful moments from the vanished places. This chosen place and people become the symbol of those who during the soviet period lost their beloved homes because of the extensive collectivization.
